[Remote] Chief Data Center Officer

Futura Energy Group is a rapidly scaling digital infrastructure platform backed by long-term institutional capital, currently seeking a Chief Data Center Officer (CDCO) to build and lead its U.S. operational organization. The CDCO will architect and refine the operational backbone of a next-gen data center platform, overseeing all aspects of operations from design to customer delivery. Responsibilities• Build the U.S. operations org structure, processes and playbooks• Lead all aspects of data center operations: facilities, critical systems, reliability, security, compliance and site performance• Establish KPIs, SLAs and reporting frameworks for operational excellence• Design a scalable operating model for future multi-site hyperscale expansion• Work closely with development & construction teams to ensure seamless handover from build to live operations• Drive vendor strategy, procurement, and long-term maintenance programs• Develop and manage customer onboarding, service delivery, and ongoing support• Partner with sales and product teams to ensure operational readiness for hyperscale, enterprise and HPC workloads• Own safety, uptime, environmental, and regulatory compliance• Build incident response protocols and risk-management frameworks• Implement best-in-class reliability engineering practices• Hire, develop, and lead high-performing operations teams nationwide• Build a culture focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvementSkills• 15+ years in data center operations, critical infrastructure, hyperscale environments or large-scale HPC operations• Experience building operational organizations from scratch or scaling a platform through rapid growth• Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical systems, commissioning, and reliability engineering• Demonstrated leadership in multi-site operations, field teams, service delivery, and customer success• Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels in a dynamic growth environmentCompany Overview• Futura Energy Group is a consulting company that offers workforce solutions, talent acquisition, and executive search for organizations.It was founded in 2021, and is headquartered in Austin, Texas, USA, with a workforce of 11-50 employees.
