Manager, Internal Channel Sales DeskJuly Business Services (JULY)SummaryJULY is seeking a dynamic leader to build and lead our new Internal Channel Sales Desk supporting key advisors and institutional partner channels. This “player-coach” role combines hands-on selling and relationship-building with team leadership, process development, and performance reporting. The ideal candidate brings a blend of retirement plan knowledge, sales discipline, and entrepreneurial energy to help scale JULY’s advisor engagement and conversion efforts.The GigBuild & Lead• Establish JULY’s Internal Channel Sales Desk — define daily workflows, performance metrics, and reporting. • Train, mentor, and manage a small team (initially including offshore support in Cape Town). • Partner with Business Development, Marketing and Sales Leadership on creating targeted lists of advisors. Sales Execution• Manage inbound and outbound advisor engagement within key channels. • Hand off qualified leads to Regional Sales Director (RSD) and Internal Sales Consultant (ISC) pairs and track outcomes.• Use HubSpot and Unify CRM to prioritize, score, and follow up on advisor opportunities. • Build and manage SOLO plan pipeline – from proposal to close – including those that come direct via the channel sales desk and those that are assigned by the RSD and/or ISC. • Deliver timely and professional responses to advisor and channel partner inquiries. Collaboration & Reporting• Coordinate with Marketing and Business Development to refine advisor targeting and campaign follow-up. • Track and report advisor conversion metrics, pipeline growth, and ROI.• Provide feedback on system/process improvements for lead flow, automation, and analytics. Success InThis Role Looks Like …• A repeatable, data-driven sales process built within 6 months. • Increased advisor engagement and conversion rates within assigned channels. • Effective collaboration between the internal desk, sales, and marketing teams. • Establishing a high-performing, metrics-driven team culture. Our Needs• 3+ years’ experience in the retirement plan industry (sales or relationship management focus preferred).• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. • Working knowledge of plan design, recordkeeping, and advisor distribution models. • Prior experience using CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, Unify). • Proven experience to meet or exceed measurable sales goals. • Demonstrated success in team leadership, coaching, or process improvement. • Professional communication skills – written, verbal, and virtual.
