Radiology Billing & Coding Specialist
Seeking highly-motivated individual to join medical organization and to act as liaison between billing team and operations to improve communication, efficiency and productivity in radiology billing. We are looking for an experienced Billing & Coding Specialist with a strong background in radiology billing - particularly Nuclear Medicine and PET. Key Responsibilities:- Oversight of billing with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail- Communicate between internal operations and external billing- Monitor clearinghouse activity to guarantee claims are transmitted correctly and resolve rejections promptly before submission to insurance carriers.- Serve as an internal resource to answer questions regarding eligibility, interpretation of EOBs, billing and payment status of claims- Oversight of billing to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness- Ability to anticipate denials and/or be on a team to advise on complex billing scenarios- Run reports to analyze trends, answer questions, problem solve-Answer internal and patient inquiries. -Comply with rules and regulations- Assist in patient collectionsQualifications- Knowledge and past experience of end-to-end radiology billing procedures, from claims submission to payment reconciliation, specifically Nuclear Medicine & PET.- Deep understanding of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for accurate billing and coding- Ability to collaborate with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure compliance and efficiency. - High proficiency in Excel- Some knowledge/experience in radiology billing- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail-Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilitiesJob Type: Full-timePay: From $25.00 per hourBenefits:• 401(k) matching• Dental insurance• Flexible schedule• Health insurance• Paid time off• Vision insuranceWork Location:Remote Apply tot his job
