Cold and Untold is a true crime media brand and podcast dedicated to raising awareness of cold cases in North Carolina and giving families a space to share their loved one’s story. Through impactful storytelling, reporting, and collaboration with law enforcement, our mission is to keep cold cases visible. We’re seeking a Publicist & Partnership Manager who can be a true partner on this journey — someone who believes in the mission, is resourceful, and wants to grow with us as we continue to expand our impact and reach.Role OverviewThe Publicist & Partnership Manager will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive PR and partnership strategy designed to elevate Cold and Untold’s visibility across traditional and digital media. You’ll craft and pitch the brand, secure interviews and features, and identify collaboration opportunities that align with our mission. In addition to media outreach and brand partnerships, you’ll help identify and secure honorarium-based speaking opportunities for the founder to expand the brand’s visibility and impact.This includes panels (as a guest or moderator), conferences, seminars, workshops, local events, and hosting engagements within the journalism, creator, and true crime community space. This role is ideal for someone passionate about purpose-driven media, storytelling, and building an authentic, trusted brand presence. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute a PR strategy to increase visibility for the brand across TV, print, podcasts, and online outlets • Bring innovative ideas to expand Cold and Untold’s reach, with a focus on social media and audience engagement • Pitch Cold and Untold for interviews and features to journalists, editors, and producers • Identify, negotiate, and work to secure brand partnerships, sponsorships for podcast, and collaborations aligned with our mission • Create and maintain press materials, including press releases, media kits, and brand decks • Research and work to secure speaking opportunities that align with our message • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, brand partners, and event organizers • Collaborate with the team to align PR and partnership efforts with upcoming brand initiatives, including podcast episodes, book release, and events Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public relations, brand partnerships, or media relations • Proven success securing press coverage, sponsorships, or collaborations • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills • Established media and brand contacts with the ability to pitch and follow through effectively • Strong organizational and time management skills • Passion for true crime, storytelling, and advocacy-driven media • A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to grow with a small but ambitious brandCompensation and Schedule • Freelance / Part-time position (approximately 15–20 hours per week) • $1,000 per month • 6-month trial period with potential for long-term partnership Please submit your resume, a portfolio of past placements or partnerships, and a brief note explaining why you’re the perfect fit for Cold and Untold.Job Type: Contract Pay: From $1,000.00 per monthBenefits: • Flexible schedule Work Location:Remote Job Type: Contract Pay: From $1,000.00 per monthBenefits: • Flexible schedule Work Location:Remote Apply tot his job Apply tot his job
