Online Math Tutor/Teacher
LIVE Online Math (www.liveonlinemath.com) is seeking a math tutor for immediate hire. Work will be performed at home using your own computer hardware and internet connection. A new hire would be brought on in a limited fashion to begin with, and his/her role may expand based on performance, qualifications, and customer demand. Pay is dependent on qualifications, skill set, and experience. The tutor will be an independent contractor, not an employee. Candidates must... • Be an experienced math tutor (brick and mortar, online, in-person tutoring, etc.).• Pass a background check. • Be able to work in a physical space that is not noisy and has an aesthetically pleasing background for being on webcam. • Quickly develop rapport/relationship with students via the synchronous online format. • Have an engaging/fun/humorous personality. • Have the necessary equipment in order to be an effective synchronous online tutor (high speed internet, headset, webcam, etc.). • To be considered, you must answer the custom questions on this ad. Preference will be given to...• Candidates presently using a synchronous learning platform where their teaching style and skills may be observed. • Candidates who can provide a recording of one of their sessions. • State certificated math teachers. • Candidates who are proficient at using a pen tablet. • Candidates who can also tutor writing/English and/or other subjects. Compensation... • $23.00-$25.00 per hr. DOE• Pay will be made monthlyHours... • Scheduling is flexible! You schedule directly with clients and find a schedule that suits both you, and the client.• Hours will be somewhat limited (likely less than 5 hours per week to start out). The amount of work will likely increase over time though.
