How you’ll contributeTheSeniorCompensation Analyst is responsible for providing broad-based compensation services to internal stakeholders, including base salary administration, short-term incentives, and long-term equity awards.The primary responsibility of this role will be the management and administration of the company's job architecture, including job mapping, career path development, and maintenance. Additionally, this role support broad-based compensation initiatives, including, but not limited to, maintaining and contributing to the optimization of theCompensation Management System, completing compensation surveys, developing and delivering compensation materials and presentations to educate employees, and leading/participating in departmental projects.• Own job architecture and career path development and maintenance to ensure current and new jobs are aligned and calibrated to internal guidelines and conventions• Provide consultation and support to HR and internal business partners on job architecture and career pathways• Orient and educate senior leaders on the purpose and importance of job architecture and career pathways. Lead and guide career pathway discussions with internal senior leaders. • Perform critical review of current and future-state career pathways, titling conventions, and alignment of career levels• Partner with HR team members to develop, facilitate, and adhere to project plans associated with career framework initiatives, including partnering with HR and the business to operationalize and maintain the framework• Guide career pathway discussions with internal senior leaders• Perform job description analyses and alignment to job leveling guidelines utilizing a job description management system• Perform compensation analyses and market pricing, including FLSA testing and classification• Maintain career pathways on an ongoing ownership basis to ensure current and accurate job leveling, content, and compensation alignment• Support key HR /Compensation events:• Operate as an internal consultant to provide broad-based compensation and policy services to HR, managers, and employees• Assist in the administration of cash compensation programs, short-term incentives, rewards & recognition, and long-term equity awards• Support annual and ad-hoc compensation survey participation/submission and results in analysis• Participate in the development of new or revised processes to improve procedures and guidelines of compensation programs• Acts as an educational resource for client managers and employees about UT's compensation philosophy, pay for performance, etc.; Develop and deliver compensation education initiatives to the business as needed• Stay current on compensation-related topics and industry trends by attending training sessions and reading technical publications• All other duties as assignedFor this role, you will needMinimum Requirements• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in business administration, human resources, psychology, or related field• 5+ years of progressive compensation experience within an HR function• 2+ years of corporate or consulting experience in the life sciences industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, etc.)• Skilled in designing & evaluating job architecture/career ladders, market price job evaluation, and competitive analysis• Knowledge of life sciences industry roles and functional areas• Experience building compensation models and conducting pay analysis• Experience utilizing compensation survey data (Radford & Mercer industry surveys preferred)• Knowledgeable in compensation theory and local, state, and federal laws and regulations, such as the FLSA, Equal Pay Act, minimum wage, overtime, and record-keeping requirements• Experience with and knowledge of short and long-term incentives• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Able to build and navigate complex spreadsheets through the use of formulas, pivot tables, and charts• Ability to work with confidentiality, multi-tasking, leading projects, presenting material to managers, and meeting deadlines• Highly adaptable and agile in a fast-paced growth environment; able to thrive within ambiguity• Skilled in project management techniques and practice - ability to support and manage multiple projects, applying expertise and knowledge of both the internal and external environmentsPreferred Qualifications• Master’s degree (MA/MS/MBA) in business administration, human resources, psychology, or related field• CCP or working towards - CertifiedCompensation Professional, Global RemunerationProfessional (GRP), or related compensation certification (highly preferred)• Professional in Human Resources (PHR)-HRCI• SeniorProfessional in Human Resources (SPHR)-HRCI• Experience in other related areas of HR (e.g., HRIS, Benefits/Total Rewards, Recruiting, etc.)• Experience with HRIS,Compensation, and Job Description Management Systems (Workday, JDXpert, PayScale/Payfactors a plus)• Experience working in a publicly traded companyPay is 111,000 to 140,000 a year depending on experience.They offer 20% bonus and 20% stock for this position.
