Keeps supervisor informed of issues/concerns that may arise. Seeks out additional tasks when assigned work is completed; provides backup coverage for other positions in the HIM department. Meets quality and/or productivity expectations. Performs other duties as assigned. Additional duties may include accurately analyzing records for deficiencies; manage all aspects of the clerical transcription process; works various work queues in the EMR; physician suspension; release of information; Master Patient Index management.HIM Data Integrity:HIM Data Integrity Technician performs specialized HIM activities maintaining an accurate electronic health record (EHR) and health information under the direction of the HIM Data Integrity Manager or designated supervisor which includes but is not limited to reviewing, processing and troubleshooting patient proxy portal requests, interfaces errors, provider portal requests, patient request to opt-in/opt-out from health information exchanges.
