Dura-Line, an Orbia Business & a global leader in the manufacturing industry, is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Jr.Staff Accountant to join our finance department. This is a remote position with the ability to work from your home office. We are seeking a passionate individual to help process key financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy, performing routine reconciliations, analyzing, and explaining results. You will also be responsible for leading various functions, including month-end closing activities, fixed assets and depreciation reporting, A/R customer portal updates, and intercompany transactions, among other duties.The Jr. Staff Accountant will drive process improvements, lead projects, implement new policies or requirements, and develop strong working relationships in a fast-paced remote environment. This position is critical to the organization as it helps to drive process improvements and assists in preparing and compiling internal and external audits. This position is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills through process improvement management, policy implementation, and other assigned projects.Responsibilities• Process key financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy. • Perform routine reconciliations and analyze results. • Lead month-end closing activities. • Report on fixed assets and depreciation. • Update A/R customer portal. • Handle intercompany transactions. • Drive process improvements and lead projects. • Implement new policies or requirements. • Develop strong working relationships in a remote environment. Requirements• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience, or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience, or 5 years' experience in a relevant position.• Hands-on experience leading closing processes such as accruals, analysis of accounts, month-end closing activities, fixed asset reporting, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions. • Strong analytical skills and ability to research and correct account balance issues. • Excellent computer skills in Excel and some experience with SAP or another Tier 1 ERP. • Strong process management, interpersonal, and communication skills. • Fundamental understanding of GAAP or IFRS.
