Staff Accountant – Remote (US)

You will play a key role in driving a timely month-end close, tightening controls, and supporting a company that is scaling quickly.If you enjoy putting structure to fast-moving environments, solving problems, and owning processes from end to end, this role gives you room to grow and contribute meaningfully. What You Will Do• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts including journal entries, accruals, and amortizations• Manage accounts payable including invoice processing, vendor documentation, weekly aging reports, and 1099 support• Oversee accounts receivable including invoicing, deduction reconciliation, and weekly aging updates• Reconcile bank accounts, payroll, inventory, and multiple corporate credit cards• Reconcile sales and COGS across key e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and Amazon Seller Central• Process payroll through Rippling with accuracy and compliance• Ensure adherence to GAAP standards, internal controls, and established accounting policies• Support internal and external audits through documentation preparation• Partner cross-functionally on projects that improve visibility, efficiency, and financial processesWhat You Bring• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, ideally within CPG or e-commerce• Solid understanding of GAAP, inventory and COGS accounting, and accrual-based accounting• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUP• Preferred experience with Shopify, Rippling, Avalara or Numeral, and e-commerce reconciliation• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities• Knowledge of sales tax compliance and reportingThe DetailsLocation:Remote (United States only)Salary: $63,000 to $83,000 per year depending on experienceType: Full-timeBenefits: Health, dental, and vision coverage plus growth opportunitiesEnvironment: Collaborative, supportive, and fast-paced with the chance to influence processes and outcomesWhy You’ll LoveThis RoleYou will join a team that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.Every number matters, every process matters, and your contributions will directly shape the financial health and future success of the business.
