E-Commerce Systems Integration Specialist

We are a finance and advisory team that supports growing businesses with their systems, operations, and financial structure. We are currently evaluating a complex e-commerce ecosystem and need an experienced E-Commerce Systems Integration Specialist to help us understand the full technical landscape and determine what needs to be stabilized, automated, or redesigned. This is not a basic Shopify or bookkeeping role. We are looking for someone who understands systems architecture, high-volume reporting, and how data moves across an integrated environment.We need clear-thinking, analytical support as we work through both immediate operational workflows and long-term automation needs. Role OverviewYou will help us investigate how data flows across multiple platforms, evaluate manual processes, and document how the current environment functions. The goal is to help us determine whether existing logic is sound, where risks exist, and what the future-state should look like. Key Responsibilities• Review data flows across Shopify, ShipHero, AtVenue, QuickBooks Online, and supporting systems.• Analyze manual reporting steps and help identify opportunities for automation or integration. • Map workflows from storefront to fulfillment, reporting, settlements, and accounting. • Examine Power Query logic, macros, and Excel-based reporting structures. • Document deal types, rate-card logic, and monthly reporting requirements. • Identify pain points, error risks, bottlenecks, and logic gaps. • Evaluate how Monday.com or similar project management platforms can support workflow tracking. • Advise on whether more advanced data architecture or engineering support may be necessary.• Communicate findings clearly and help us develop a structured understanding of the current system. Desired Experience• Advanced knowledge of Shopify reporting, APIs, and data structures. • Strong experience with ShipHero or similar inventory and fulfillment tools. • Familiarity with POS or event-based sales data is helpful. • Strong Excel and Power Query skills. • Ability to interpret macros and reverse-engineer spreadsheet logic.• Experience with QuickBooks Online, especially in multi-source reconciliation scenarios. • Comfortable with large datasets and multi-client environments. • Experience with Monday.com or similar workflow tools. • Clear communicator who can break down complex technical findings. Ideal Candidate• Has hands-on experience with high-transaction e-commerce operations. • Capable of dissecting and documenting complex workflows. • Understands how system decisions impact reporting, reconciliation, and accounting.• Detail-oriented and able to build structure where processes rely heavily on manual steps.
