YouTube + Short-Form Editing Style Revamp
About My ChannelI create videos about online business, making money online, and building digital income streams. The information is real and straightforward, but the editing in this niche tends to look the same—very serious, very stiff, and not much personality. That’s not my style. I’m more relaxed, skeptical, playful, and counterculture compared to most creators in this space. I want my editing style to show that. What I Want the Editing to Feel LikeMy videos are mainly talking head, but the energy doesn’t need to be.I’m looking for an editing style that:Feels more fun and humanUses ideas from gaming creators, vlog creators, or lifestyle creatorsHas small jokes or playful moments (nothing too loud or childish)Has clean movement, smart pacing, and creative timingFeels modern, but not hyper-serious or “corporate”Breaks the typical “make money online” editing formulaSimple example:The content is me teaching a concept, but the edit has the life and personality of a creator who doesn’t take themselves too seriously.Important Style NotesThe niche is full of “guru energy.”I want the editing to show that I’m different. The style should:Add subtle humor or ironyUse small pattern breaks (a zoom, a reaction, a caption joke)Feel confident and relaxed, not needy for attentionBuild a few inside jokes or visual callbacks over timeMake the viewer feel like they’re hanging out with a real person, not attending a lectureThis is not an overedited style. It’s intentional simplicity + personality.
