Fractional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) JobTrek Pro - Contract to Hire
About Us:JobTrek Pro is a next-generation SaaS platform for home-service businesses (cleaning, HVAC, plumbing, handyman, etc.). We are building web + mobile applications with scheduling, dispatching, invoicing, routing, payments, and automated workflows powered by Stripe Connect Express. We currently have a strong dev team building the platform and are looking for an experienced Fractional CTO to oversee architecture, mobile app structure, integrations, and technical direction during this growth phase.Role Overview:You will work 5–10 hours per week to provide senior-level oversight, ensure scalable architecture, guide integrations, and collaborate with our dev team to make sure JobTrek is built for thousands of users. Responsibilities:• Review and optimize current backend architecture• Oversee mobile app architecture (React Native / Flutter / Native)• Guide API structure for performance + scalability• Review code quality + dev team workflow• Oversee major integrations (Stripe Connect, QuickBooks, Zapier, Twilio)• Ensure secure handling of data + auth• Advise on infrastructure and DevOps• Help define and maintain technical roadmap• Serve as technical advisor to the founders• bolthires risks early and prevent future technical debt• Support schema design and data-driven decision making• Advise dev team on best practices for real-time features️ 2.Weekly Responsibilities (5–10 hours/week)Weekly• Architecture review meeting (founders + dev team)• Review dev team’s work (code quality + structure)• Approve architecture decisions• Give technical direction for the upcoming sprint• Evaluate API, backend, and mobile architecture• Identify any technical risks in active work• Validate integration requirementsBi-Weekly• Conduct a thorough technical audit• Review infrastructure + hosting + bolthires/CD• Ensure security best practices• Optimize database structureMonthly• Review long-term technical roadmap• Update founders on risks / improvements• Provide recommendations for advanced scaling3.Skill RequirementsA fractional CTO should have:• 8+ years engineering experience• Experience scaling a SaaS to thousands of users• Deep experience with:• Node.js / Laravel / Django / your backend stack• React / React Native• PostgreSQL / MySQL• DevOps (AWS / GCP / DigitalOcean)• Experience with Stripe Connect• Experience with real-time systems (sockets, queues)• Ability to manage outsourced dev teams• Strong communication skills• Experience building mobile appsBonus:• Experience in home-service SaaS (Jobber, HCP, ServiceTitan, Workiz, Housecall Pro clones) Apply tot his job
