Vice President - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - Healthcare News - Indianapolis, IN - work from home jobCompany: Healthcare NewsJob description:The Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will drive the agenda for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) as well as strengthen IU Health's Employee Value Proposition across the system. This leader will ensure that DE&I practices are embedded as imperatives in the strategic plan and human resource practices. The Vice President will partner with senior leaders, management teams, and other colleagues to foster an engaging, inclusive, and supportive environment for all team members.This leader will act as a key advisor to senior leadership and serve as the principal architect of DE&I strategies, structures, and organizational commitments across the IU Health system. This position reports directly to theSenior Vice President - Chief Human Resources Officer and will provide strategic leadership to heighten the demonstrated value of DE&I at Indiana University Health. As IU Health commits to further fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of DE&I, we have set ambitious strategic DE&I goals over the next five years to ensure commitment and accountability.While gradually improving diversity at all levels and increasing supplier diversity spend, we also aspire to enhance diversity representation in our composition of providers, top management teams, and board representation. Education, Experience & Qualifications• Bachelor's degree is required. • 10+ years of relevant and complex experience is required. • Experience leading large scale diversity, equity, inclusion and people development initiatives. • Experience establishing a network of DE&I related industry and community partnerships.• Exceptional project and process management experience. • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to leverage data to craft a meaningful, business-relevant inclusion narrative. • Experience coaching and partnering with top-level executives on DE&I issues. • Advanced understanding of cultural differences to be successful in a global organization. Personal Characteristics and Capabilities• Desire to lead through the organization's mission, vision, and values. • Strategically focused leadership skills that include strong gravitas and executive presence alongside in-depth knowledge of industry and competitive landscape to effectively influence senior leaders and peers across an organization.• Exceptional communication with an ability to influence at all levels through clear, data-based, and informative presentations and discussions. • Organized with demonstrated attention to detail; able to manage, prioritize, and bring completion to multiple projects. • Possesses the highest personal integrity and ethics.
