Sr.Case Manager - Youth Employment
About the positionResponsibilities• Provide individualized support and guidance to youth, assess needs, conduct intake, develop service plans, and monitor progress. • Provide instruction and support in resume writing, interview skills, job searches and work ethic. • Assist clients to secure employment. • Identify skill gaps. Provide opportunities for skill development. • Enroll job seekers into ESL classes. Support access of vocational and professional short-term trainings• Develop and maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders.• Support families and community members to provide a supportive environment for clients. • Facilitate work readiness trainings and other activities that promote the overall well-being of youth. • Maintain accurate records per Agency standard. • Promote the program and recruit individuals for training and employment opportunities. • Educate youth about resources available within their community. Make appropriate referrals. • Support MRS leadership and staff with youth specific employment, training, and integration services.• Facilitate transportation for participants. • Attend regular supervision meetings, case consultations, and assist with crisis mitigation strategies. • Report to Associate Director and supports all services and trainings related to youth empowerment and self-sufficiency. Requirements• Effective oral and written communication skills in English, ability to adapt communication methods to meet cultural preferences. • Bilingual in English and one other language: Dari, Pashtu, Arabic, Amharic• Ability to learn new tasks and procedures, comply with processes, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow.• Willingness to uphold the mission and the goals of Catholic Charities• Flexible to work irregular hours. • Fluency in bolthires office, excel, & other relevant software, strong presentation skills. • Bachelor’s degree required. • Experience navigating the needs and challenges faced by youth. • Educated in the social services policies and practices in all counties and localities where clients are resettling. • At least 3 years of experience working with youth with proven experience in collaboration with local partner organizations and educational institutions.• Must possess a valid driver’s license, have a good driving record, and have at least three years of driving experience.
