Under minimal supervision, provides expertise and skills needed to effectively assists with the supportOf LIS applications and LIS infrastructure. Provides technical support in installation and maintenance of LIS hardware and software applications. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):• Implements, maintains, troubleshoots and resolves problems relating to the flow of laboratory data.• Tests and analyzes specific lab software upgrades and changes. • Assist with the management, implementation and training of lab staff on the use of LIS applications. • Achieves a high level of customer service and communication with our customers. • Participates in the setup and implementation of lab initiatives requiring LIS support• Maintains a high level of understanding of the use of lab data in relation to physician practices, patient care, continuum of care,electronic medical records and clinical research.• Knowledge of Laboratory instrumentationQualificationsThe ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:• Bachelor's degree preferred in Laboratory Sciences• Minimum of five (5) years' work experience in a laboratory. • Must have a working knowledge of Orchard products. • Must have a working knowledge of PC Operations• Some travel requiredPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made toenable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
