Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Immigration Lawyer who is experiencd with Immigration Court Proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of immigration law and related legal practices, with the ability to provide expert advice and representation to clients navigating the complexities of immigration processes. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and a commitment to advocating for clients' rights. Duties• Provide legal advice and representation in immigration matters, including visas, green cards, asylum applications, and deportation defense.• Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation. • Draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity. • Negotiate on behalf of clients with government agencies and other parties involved in immigration cases. • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and evidence for their cases. • Stay updated on changes in immigration law and policy to provide informed counsel. • Manage case files efficiently within a law office environment, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.• Assist in litigation processes when necessary, representing clients in court or administrative hearings. Qualifications• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction. • Strong knowledge of immigration law and related fields such as family law, landlord-tenant law, environmental law, estate planning, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and litigation. • Proficient in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.• Exceptional writing skills with experience in legal drafting. • Proven negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients. • Previous legal administrative experience is preferred. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
