Director Global Sourcing

We are currently assisting our client, an industrial manufacturer, with a Director of Global Sourcing role. • This is a remote position; however, corporate office are located in Ohio, and there will be travel to Ohio.* Responsibilities:• Planning & Strategy Development: Utilizes effective planning and project management to create robust commodity strategies and identify strategic partners both domestically and internationally. • Cost-Reduction Targets: Responsible for achieving aggressive annual material cost-reduction targets across global spend categories.• Supplier Strategy Execution: Develops and executes long-term supplier strategies, focusing on: Cost modeling, Opportunity assessments, Financial analysis, Negotiations, Continuous performance improvement, and Relationship development• Negotiation of Agreement: Secures long-term agreements with favorable pricing, payment terms, quality, and delivery performance, aligned with corporate objectives. • Sourcing Initiatives: Leads sourcing initiatives for Design for Value and Value Add/Value Engineering (VA/VE) for both new and existing products.• Supplier Assessments & Improvement: Coordinates on-site supplier assessments, certification audits, and continuous improvement activities to reduce costs and enhance supplier quality. • Global Operations Management: Oversees global import/export operations and trade compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations and effective risk management. • Cost Optimization Strategies: Develops strategies to optimize total landed cost and mitigate tariff/regulatory risks. Requirements:• Vast experience in global sourcing within manufacturing operations.• Strong understanding of Supply Chain Management principles and sourcing best practices. • Proficient in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management at an advanced level. • Experience in ERP systems, SAP desired• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
