[Remote] Lead PHP Developer with Laravel & Symfony Exp || Remote || W2 Contract

Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. iPivot is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead PHP Developer to join their team. This role involves leading a team of developers, architecting and developing scalable web applications, and ensuring the quality and performance of their systems. Responsibilities• Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable web applications using PHP. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, designers, DevOps, and QA.• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and technical architecture. • Review and optimize existing code for performance, scalability, and security. • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code. • Mentor junior developers and perform regular code reviews. • Manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure delivery of high-quality software on schedule. • Participate in technical discussions, decision-making, and roadmap planning. Skills• Strong knowledge of modern PHP frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases. • Solid understanding of RESTful API development and integration. • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js or React is a plus). • Proficiency with version control systems like Git. • Strong understanding of software design patterns, OOP, and MVC architecture. • Experience with performance optimisation, caching strategies, and security best practices. • Experience in team leadership or technical project management.• Knowledge of Docker, bolthires/CD pipelines, and deployment automation. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
