The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, independent thinker who develops creative yet pragmatic communications strategies to share Insomniac's incredible story and engage audiences across all media channels where our growing fan base is seeking our content, within the music industry and broader media landscape.The PR Manager will lead strategic communications and elevate our brand presence across media, partnerships, and artist-focused initiatives. Must have great interpersonal, communication and writing skills, impeccable attention to detail, and, importantly, an uncanny ability for storytelling. RESPONSIBILITIESMedia Relations & Communications• Develop and execute strategies to support Insomniac's communications goals• Create, cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media across music, entertainment, lifestyle, and general news outlets• Support media outreach and press opportunities around live events, festivals, charitable programs, and company announcements• Manage media inquiries, coordinate interviews, and prepare spokespersons with key messagingPartnerships• Identify and develop marketing opportunities with relevant partners, brands, platforms, and organizations• Collaborate with external partners on co-branded campaigns, announcements, and media moments that drive brand awareness• Oversee PR deliverables associated with sponsorships, collaborations, and strategic alliances• Support negotiations and creative planning for partnership activations, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and messagingPhilanthropy & Community Engagement• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of signature philanthropy initiatives, including charity auctions, fundraising events, and community engagement campaigns• Partner with cross-functional teams by managing timelines, tracking budgets, and ensuring seamless integration of philanthropic messaging across marketing, PR, and on-site activations• Help maintain accurate impact reporting, track participation metrics, and contribute to storytelling efforts that highlight the company's charitable impactArtist Relations• Collaborate closely with artists, managers, agents, and internal A&R/creative teams to develop PR strategies tailored to individual talent• Lead media campaigns for artist releases, special projects, tours, and events• Coordinate interviews, press days, media training, and storytelling development for artists• Manage artist-related communications and ensure brand-artist alignment in all publicity effortsContent Development & Distribution• Draft press releases, media alerts, pitches, and other written materials• Partner with social media and content teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across channels• Contribute creative yet pragmatic ideas to strengthen Insomniac's visibility and thought leadership within the industry and communityMedia Monitoring & Reporting• Monitor media coverage and industry trends to proactively identify opportunities and consistently ensure accurate brand representation• Track, measure, and report PR results, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvementCampaign & Project Management• Lead projects from concept to completion, collaborating with internal teams and external partners• Train and provide support in onboarding team members, clients, vendors and partners when needed• All other projects and initiatives as identifiedQUALIFICATIONS• Minimum of 5 years' experience in PR, media relations and/or journalism• Strategic thinker with a program management background and a proven track record of meaningful results• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with artists and talent• Able to quickly assess situations, turn obstacles into opportunities, and make decisions under time constraints and with a full workload• Experience developing strategic partnerships with local business and community organizations to support Insomniac Events• Able to quickly create and edit a variety of communications that meet company standards, on deadline• A modern communicator with interest and experience in integrated campaigns• Able to work effectively and collaboratively with all personality types and with remote teams anywhere in the world• Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills• Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, journalism, or business, or equivalent work experienceWORK ENVIRONMENT• Must enjoy working in dynamic, fast-paced environments and open office concept spaces, with often immediate deadlines, loud noise levels and drastic temperature and climate changes at varied event locations• Must be able to manage their own time and balance their own workload while bringing a can-do, positive attitude to getting the job done, including working evenings and weekend hours, when necessaryApplicants for employment in the US must possess work authorization, which does not require sponsorship by Insomniac for a visaEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYWe aspire to build teams that reflect and support the fans and artists we serve.Every day we aim to promote environments where everyone can be themselves, contribute fully, and thrive within our company and at our events.
