We are now seeking an experienced Independent Agency Operations Manager to drive the growth of our agency relationships and increase the sales of GEICO and GEICO-affiliated products in the state of Georgia.About the RoleAs an Independent Agency Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and execution of policies that foster strong agency relationships, drive sales growth, and expand GEICO's agency distribution. You will be responsible for managing a designated territory, building relationships with agents, delivering training, and monitoring agency performance. This is a remote-friendly position with a requirement for 30% overnight travel within your assigned territory.Key Responsibilities• Prospect, interview, and approve new agency appointments to expand GEICO's agency distribution• Manage agents within your designated territory using in-person, virtual, phone, and email interactions to build relationships, deliver training, and monitor agency performance• Implement policies and procedures of the agency program, translating national strategic initiatives into local goals and objectives• Monitor agent performance in relation to goals, procedures, and guidelines, providing counseling and support as needed• Deliver effective communications, assisting agencies in developing local marketing plans and strategies to meet growth goals• Utilize data analysis to prepare pre-call strategies, focusing on the greatest opportunities within your designated territory and/or specific agencies• Act as a subject matter expert on GEICO and GEICO-affiliated products, features, and tools, staying up-to-date on competitor offerings to influence agents to sell our products• Evaluate agency performance, holding agents accountable for agreed-upon action plans and providing training and support as needed• Develop efficient and effective growth plans in collaboration with leadership and the product team• Prepare department business plans, staffing projections, and budgets, requisitioning supplies and materials necessary for efficient operationRequirements and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you must be able to perform the essential functions, which include seeing, hearing, typing, and speaking.You should be able to communicate clearly and professionally via phone, meet in-person and virtually, and follow complex instructions. Strong organizational and priority-setting skills are also essential, as is the ability to multi-task and learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.
