OverviewWe are seeking a talented and humorous Creative Writer/Comedian to in a unique role dedicated to raising awareness and support for the dogs in our rescue through adding excitement and interest to their on-line bios. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, a creative flair, and the ability to craft compelling narratives that inspire action and compassion. Duties• Develop engaging, humorous, and heartfelt content on Petfinder to promote rescue efforts. • Proofread and copy edit all content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines.• Collaborate with the team to brainstorm creative concepts and storytelling strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. Requirements• Proven experience in creative writing, comedic writing, or technical writing with a portfolio demonstrating versatility. • A flexible schedule. Posting our dogs in a timely manner is very important to finding them a home. Thus we seek somebody who can hop on their computer one to three hours per day to make sure our dogs are being posted on a regular schedule. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives that inspire action.• Proficiency in research, fact-checking, and technical writing as needed for accurate storytelling. • A sense of humor combined with a compassionate approach toward animal welfare causes. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
