Cloud DevOps Engineer-Must have Top Secret Clearance
About the positionResponsibilities• Responsible for distributed and managed services, automating the installation, configuration, and maintenance of platform services. • Manage system tuning for reliability and efficiency and guide and manage software releases for new features and support users through consolidation. • Perform the administrative operation of server hardware and software. • Ensure system security and execute practices and procedures. • Troubleshoot system related problems. • Maintain knowledge of operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications.• Recommend future direction or projects to management. • Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system. Requirements• Minimum 5 years of experience with IT/Software. • Minimum 3 years of experience with Kubernetes. • Minimum 1 year of experience with DevOps methodologies. • Minimum 1 year of experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi/NSX-T. • US Citizen with Active Top Secret Clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI. • Must live a commutable distance from the client's site in Fayetteville, NC or Washington, DC.Nice-to-haves• Undergraduate Degree. • Experience in bolthires Web Services, bolthires Azure, bolthires Cloud and OpenStack. • Experience with Kubernetes, Chef, Ansible, BOSH, or related automation/orchestration tools. • Experience with a platform as a service product such as Cloud Foundry, Heroku, Elastic Beanstalk, or similar. • Experience working with DNS, NTP, SAML, OAuth 2, Active Directory. • Understanding of systems monitoring, alerting and analytics (Prometheus, New Relic, AppDynamics, Cacti, Graphite, ELK, Nagios, Ganglia, Splunk, Log Insight, Realize Operations, Datadog, etc.).• Background in Windows deployment, automation, and related technologies. • Experience with database (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL) and messaging middleware technologies (e.g. RabbitMQ). • Participated in or led agile development teams. • Worked with Concourse, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity or other Continuous Integration tools. • Experience with networking and related technologies (e.g. load balancing / DNS / SSL / firewalls / NAT / SDN). • Experienced in using Git. • Experience in release management.• Experience supporting production systems using Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices. • Competent to work at a high technical level on all phases of systems engineering activities.
