Whether you thrive in high‑energy Zumba rooms, prefer the focused flow of Pilates, or enjoy the challenge of boot‑camp style conditioning, you will have a platform to showcase your talent, grow your professional network, and make a tangible impact on the health of the Hobe Sound community.Position Snapshot• Job Title: Certified Aerobic & Group‑Fitness Instructor (PRN)• Location: Primarily remote with scheduled onsite sessions at the Cleveland Clinic Martin Health – Hobe Sound campus (Hobe Sound, FL)• Employment Type: Part‑time, as‑needed (PRN) with flexible shift patterns (Day/Evening, 8 am–8 pm)• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + class‑based incentives• Start Date: Immediate openings – we are hiring now• Reporting To: Director of Wellness Services, Martin Health – Hobe SoundKey Responsibilities –Your Daily ImpactAs a Certified Aerobic & Group‑Fitness Instructor, you will be the energetic nucleus of our wellness programming.Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Design, lead, and evaluate a minimum of two (2) dynamic group‑fitness classes each week, drawing from a diverse menu that may include Zumba®, TRX®, Pilates, Kickboxing, Aqua Aerobics, Step, Boot Camp, Resistance Training, Cardio‑Interval, Spinning, Core Strength, and Muscle Conditioning. • Prepare the designated fitness space before each class: set up equipment, test audio‑visual tools, arrange mats, and ensure a clean, safe environment for participants.• Maintain vigilant supervision of all participants during class, providing modifications, safety cues, and motivational feedback tailored to varied fitness levels. • Monitor attendance, collect feedback, and generate brief post‑class reports that highlight participant engagement, observed progress, and any safety or equipment concerns. • Collaborate with the Wellness Services team to align class content with overarching health goals, such as cardiac rehabilitation, weight‑management initiatives, or injury‑prevention programs.• Stay current with industry trends, certification updates, and emerging exercise modalities; share insights with colleagues through informal workshops or newsletters. • Adapt to fluctuating staffing needs, covering additional classes or shift changes as required, while maintaining professional composure in a fast‑paced environment. • Adhere to Cleveland Clinic’s infection‑control policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and participation in mandatory influenza and COVID‑19 vaccination programs.• Participate in periodic performance reviews, continuing‑education opportunities, and team‑building activities that reinforce our culture of excellence. Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring• Education: High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent). A degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field is a plus. • Certifications: Current, nationally recognized fitness certification relevant to the classes you will teach. Acceptable credentials include:• National Dance & Exercise Institute (NDEI) – Certified Dance‑Fitness Instructor• American Council on Exercise (ACE) – Group Fitness Instructor• Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) – Certified Group Fitness Instructor• American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) – Certified Exercise Physiologist or Group Fitness Instructor• American Aerobics Association International (AAAI) – Certified Aerobics Instructor• Basic Life Support (BLS): Certification required if the class involves participants with medical considerations (e.g., cardiac rehab).• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of hands‑on teaching experience in at least one of the specialty areas listed above. • Physical Capability: Ability to demonstrate all movements safely, lift up to 25 lb, and maintain a high level of personal fitness. • Communication: Strong verbal skills, ability to give clear instructions, and a personable demeanor that fosters inclusivity. • Compliance: Willingness to adhere to Cleveland Clinic’s drug‑free, tobacco‑free, and vaccination policies.
