California Employment Litigation Attorney (Remote)Latitude is seeking an experienced employment litigation attorney for a long-term contract engagement with a California-based boutique law firm. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys who thrive in a collaborative, innovative environment and are looking to escape the demanding billable hour requirements of traditional law firms. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience litigating California labor and employment (L&E) issues. Responsibilities will include providing labor & employment litigation defense (single plaintiff) to clients.Preferred candidates will have prior experience in the labor and employment practice group of a large law firm, a highly regarded employment law boutique, or a major corporate legal department. Basic Requirements ForThe California Employment Litigation Attorney• 3+ years of experience practicing employment law and employment litigation• Prior experience providing labor & employment litigation defense (single plaintiff)• Dedication to responsiveness and walking clients through time-sensitive L&E issues is important• Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school• Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills• Licensed to practice law in California• Outstanding professional referencesPosition Details OfThe California Employment Litigation Attorney• Type of role: Contract Counsel• Schedule: Full-time (30+ hours/week)• Location:Remote (California Bar License)CompensationPay:The annualized pay for this position ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 when calculated on a full-time basis.Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
