Asst Professor - Art History
About the positionResponsibilities• Teach a 2/3 course load for the academic year, including Art History Survey and upper division courses. • Maintain active scholarly research and professional development at regional and national levels. • Provide service to the department, college, and university. • Work with colleagues to develop an evolving art history curriculum. • Serve as advisor/mentor to major and minor students in the department. Requirements• Ph.D. in Art History• Two years teaching experience• Demonstrated ability to teach a variety of lower- and upper-level art history courses• Active non-European research focus research agenda with short- and long-term goals• Excellent communication skills.Nice-to-haves• Demonstrated two years post-doctoral teaching experience• Strong and established scholarly research in Indigenous art of the Americas• Demonstrated application of advanced art history pedagogies and philosophies• Public or digital humanities research methodologies• Demonstrated ability to advise, mentor, and support students from a variety of backgrounds and experiences in the classroom and department• Experience working in a collegial team environment.
