Threat Researcher - Seed-Funded - Austin PREF, Remote…maybeShrunken Heads is working with an Seed-stage Cybersecurity startup based in Austin, TX to hire several critical members for their core team. What You’ll Do:Collaborating with the CTO to lead the development and implementation of scalable detection and analysis methodsAnalyzing large data sets, identifying threats, and designing additional detection capabilitiesCommunicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders, such as the detection engineering roadmap and progress updatesWho You Are:Have experience in Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Data Science, OR similarly related background with fast-paced companyCombined Technical Knowledge and Security-domain specific knowledge, passionate about the adversarial nature of securityMay ask for contributions to code repositories, projects, reports, articles or documentation during the processExperience with modern Detection Engineering tools (SIEM, SOAR, Logging, and other “analytics” platforms)Experience with web scraping, ETL pipelines, script building, security automations, DevOps, or traditional software engineeringAbility to own projects from end-to-endCompensation: 100-120K salary (+/- DOE) + stock optionsHybrid in Austin (but exceptional remote candidates should still apply!)Unlimited PTO — 2 weeks “minimum” encouraged!#J-18808-Ljbffr Shrunkenheadstalent Apply tot his job
