Position: We’re looking for a SQL Developer to support a large, 10-year, government contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Role Description:As a SQL and Jasper Report Developer, you will perform day to day querying and analysis using SQL queries and procedures, and script execution to enhance understanding of data within a consolidated data store.You should have a understand a large relational data model for a mission important system and assist other team members for back end data requests. Additionally, resource should be able to take amorphous problem sets or functional needs and determine path forward on creating the query to support end user business needs. Resource should have experience in optimizing queries against PostgresQL databases and provide upskilling to team members in query optimization. Resource should have experience creating reports within Jasper using jrxml.Skillsets /Responsibilities:• As a Developer Database Administrator, you will be responsible for design, implementation, support, and management of Oracle Databases in production, test & development environments. You will be responsible for creation and administration of 11g databases and performance tuning efforts. Skills:A Developer must have experience in analyzing customer needs and developing overall concept and design objectives. The developer must be able to create software in a variety of programming and for a variety of IT software applications.Must have experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs. • Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases• Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management• Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance• Identifies, defines, and assesses the properties and specifications necessary for the database management system (DBMS) to meet current and future needs of the organization• Defines a logical database structure for application development based on the organizational structure of the company• Defines and executes procedures for testing and implementing new applications in the database environment• Develops and implements policies and procedures related to data security and integrity• Have PostgresSQL experience• Oracle• Liquibase• Database Design• Performance tuning• Disaster Recovery• Replication• PL/SQL• PL/pgSQLRequired Skills:• Experience with PostgreSQL• Experience with Jasper Reporting• Experience creating and maintaining stored procedures• Experience with complex SQL queryingRequirements:• Must be US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Dual Citizen.• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering / technical discipline and minimum of Five (5) years of experience. Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education. • Must be able to obtain a public trust security clearance.
