SME Automation Engineer – DoD DevSecOps, CI/CD
Job Description:• Provide expert technical leadership for automation engineering initiatives within Department of Defense environments. • Define and implement automation strategies that maximize continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) concepts, ensuring secure and efficient software development pipelines. • Apply domain expertise in build automation, integration, and testing processes to enhance development productivity and mission readiness. • Operate with significant decision-making authority impacting automation implementation and overall engineering efficiency.• Lead the design and implementation of automation solutions for DevSecOps pipelines supporting DoD software development projects. • Establish automation goals, frameworks, and plans that optimize CI/CD processes and align with DoD cybersecurity and compliance standards. • Serve as a subject matter expert in build automation, integration, and test methodologies, guiding teams in best practices. • Direct automation activities, ensuring development efficiency requirements and mission-critical timelines are met.• Evaluate automation performance and recommend enhancements to improve reliability, scalability, and security. • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to align automation strategies with DoD operational objectives. • Ensure all automation solutions comply with NIST standards, RMF guidelines, and DoD governance policies.
