Job PurposeAs aSenior Enterprise Software Engineer, you will collaborate with system engineers, software architects, and robotic engineers on requirements and development for the control, configuration, monitoring and securing of Onward Robotics platforms.As a core team member, you will also work within a team of software engineers on the design, development and maintenance of the software and services that manage and control our fleet of robots. Duties andResponsibilities:• Design, implement, and maintain the base frameworks, REST APIs, and application logic for the management, configuration and tasking of robot fleets• Develop data model and database creation and maintenance process and procedures• Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components for a mobile application and a management hub web platform• Work with other software teams to ensure interfaces are well defined and services are interoperable• Develop code in Python, SQL and C++• Design and build extremely robust software delivery mechanismsTypical Day:• Collaborate with system engineers, roboticists, and software architects to define technical requirements and solutions.• Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs, data models, and backend frameworks supporting robot fleet management. • Write clean, efficient code in Python, SQL, C++, and TypeScript/React. • Build and enhance both front-end and back-end components for web and mobile platforms. • Work with other software teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of services. • Participate in code reviews and testing to maintain high software quality standards. • Implement secure, scalable, and reliable software delivery and deployment processes.• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in distributed systems. • Contribute to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and cross-functional design discussions. Required Skills:• Large scale distributed system development• Development of tasking based on requirements• Python• Typescript/ReactMinimum Experience Requirements:• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing software• Experience working with large-scale distributed software systems• Fluent in one or more object-oriented programming languages (python, java, C++, etc.)• Experience with React• Experience with FastAPI or other REST framework• Experience with OAuth and API Authentication• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a startup environmentPreferred Experience Requirements:• Experience with Unix / Linux• Experience with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes• Experience with Rust• Experience with software configuration management systems (git, svn, etc.)• Experience with various communication protocols (HTTPS, MQTT, AMQP)• Experience with commercial software deployment and supportMinimum Education Requirements• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field Apply tot his job
