YourRole: As aSenior Data Governance Advisor, you will supervise the use of data to ensure careful control and effective use to achieve organizational objectives.Along with facilitating and participating in cross-functional teams, you will participate in developing initiatives, strategies, policies, procedures, standards and metrics (Key Risk Indicators) that will have an effect company wide. Your work:· Participate in Data Governance overseeing processes, measurement and implements adherence to information governance and data quality policies and standards and through audits, peer reviews, and monitoring of KRIs. · Engage in the development of policies, standards and procedures and coordinate with stakeholders through the approval process.· Enable and promote awareness on Data Governance policies and standards to the analyst community. · Implement and monitor adherence to enterprise Data Governance policies and standards. · Identify and lead existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities. · Support internal audits and co-ordinate with Enterprise Risk Office in mitigating information risks. · Synthesize key information and research in order to recommend information governance initiatives that deliver business value. · Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, reported and controlled.· Assist in conducting current assessment of Data governance process and tools and proposing recommendations for improvements to peers, community and the next level of leadership. · Partner with internal groups and/or vendors to maintain complete and accurate metadata information using querying and other system tools to produce required reports and analyze data. · Anticipate, analyze, and effectively resolve problems and incidents; make recommendations and identifies when and how to raise problems to the appropriate level.· Responsible for acquiring and applying a broad-based knowledge of various lines of the business, channels, data domains and their applications and processes across one-to-many Data Governance standards and data management activities. · Operate independently and with peers to implement Data governance and data management practices and processes. · Highlight recommendations around compliance to Data governance solutions through design/governance reviews against internal policies, standards. Required Experience, Education and Skills· Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science· 4 years of work experience in Data governance, Data Quality, Risk, Audit, information management or information architecture can be substituted in lieu of a degree in addition to the minimum years of work experience.· 6+ years of demonstrated ability in industry information/data governance standard methodologies and tools. · 6 plus years of experience using data management tools to implement and support information / data steward capabilities. · 6 plus years of experience in Information or Data management related practices, management, risk and audit. · Data Management, Information Risk Management. · General understanding of risk and compliance principals applied to Data governance and data management solutions.· Certified Data ManagementProfessional (CDMP) or similar certification. · Data governance policy and standard establishment, administration and monitoring. · Strong written and verbal skills, including a consistent record to translate complex or technological information into concepts that are easily understood. · Must be capable of independently authoring and presenting technical and business information in a variety of formats, and explaining complex and/or technical topics relating to Data governance.· Strong strategic, interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills required. · Knowledge of compliance monitoring and/or auditing principles. · Knowledge of privacy, security, and data governance standards. The national average salary range for this position is $121,000-$134,000. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $108,000-$161,000.
