ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFollowing is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Successfully use critical thinking and analytical skills to review collateral. 2. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Mortgage Lending products, policies, processes, and their collateral requirements. 3. Obtain required collateral documentation per program requirements from internal clients, external clients, vendors, and third-party sources. 4. Perform detailed review of all collateral documentation to ensure that loans meet portfolio and investor guidelines.5. Identify and determine next steps for collateral issues that have been escalated. 6. Consistently communicate with other departments and sales to ensure pipeline metrics and quality guidelines are met. 7. Adhere to all compliance regulations and controls. 8. Develop and maintain positive working relationship with co-workers, internal and external clients, business partners and vendors. 9. Cultivate relationships with peers as a peer mentor. Four years or more of mortgage or consumer loan underwriting experience2. Three years of continuous collateral review experience3. Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, in relating to internal and external clients4. Demonstrates proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products5. Ability to travel, occasionally overnightPreferredQualifications:1.FHA DE (CHUMS) / VA SAR/LAPP2. Understanding of appraisal compliance and generally accepted appraisal rules3. Experience with using appraisal and market evaluation tools4. Demonstrates proficiency in mortgage automated processing systems5. Basic knowledge of bank services and products6.
