[Remote] Software Engineer, Knowledge Informatics

They are seeking a data/software engineer to develop and maintain genetic knowledgebases, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance clinical diagnostics workflows. Responsibilities• Implementation and execution of data ETL, management and engineering. • Development of user interfaces for curation and data maintenance tools based on user requirements.• Enhance data and knowledge processing effectiveness and efficiency, and improve workflows for internal data analysis, interpretation, and clinical report writing in daily production clinical operations. • Implementation of data models and software frameworks to effectively store and process data, information, and clinical insights. Utilized dog as a software framework. • Monitor database performance and proactively optimize queries and processes for improved efficiency. • Collaborates in a multidisciplinary and regulated clinical diagnostics environment with geneticists, bioinformaticians, software engineers, and IT infrastructure professionals.Skills• Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, a comparable program, or an equivalent qualification, with 3+ years of comprehensive experience in related field• Experience in Python, R, or C++• Experience in data ETL, data management, and data sharing for genomic and clinical applications, especially for next generation human sequencing data• Knowledgeable of database management systems in SQL database• Understanding of database architecture, design, and optimization• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills• Strong communication and collaboration skills• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment• DevOps experience such as unit testing, bolthires/CD is a plusCompany Overview• Baylor Genetics offers a full bolthires of bolthires-effective, genetic testing, and provides clinically relevant solutions.It was founded in 1978, and is headquartered in Houston, Texas, USA, with a workforce of 501-1000 employees.
