[Remote] Procurement Specialist | Cultural Project

Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ACCIONA Culture is an international benchmark in the creation of iconic projects in the field of museums and exhibitions. They are currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to ensure that all products, materials, and services necessary for project execution are available and meet required quality standards while being acquired at the best possible cost. Responsibilities• Represents procurement during meetings or design reviews when material feasibility, lead times, or cost impacts must be discussed.• Translates client expectations into actionable sourcing requirements. • Provides early guidance on material availability, sustainability considerations, and alternatives. • Develops and maintains relationships with specialty fabricators, artisan shops, and niche suppliers. • Sources complex custom components such as exhibit cases, glass treatments, silicone edge graphics, or interpretive technology. • Negotiates pricing, schedules, compliance requirements, and warranty terms. • Ensures all materials meet fire ratings, environmental standards, and museum conservation requirements (e.g., off-gassing, archival qualities).• Works closely with project managers, designers, engineers, and production teams to ensure material decisions align with budgets, timelines, and fabrication constraints. • Identifies long-lead items early and manages risk mitigation (alternates, accelerated orders, reservation of production slots). • Tracks material status, delivery schedules, and quality control for custom fabrications. • Prepares procurement schedules, submittal packages, material samples, and compliance documentation. • Communicates technical material notes, fabrication requirements, and installation expectations clearly to suppliers and internal teams.• Proposes cost-saving alternates without compromising interpretive intent or aesthetic fidelity. • Recommends new materials, technologies, or fabrication methods appropriate for high-traffic museum environments. Skills• At least 7 years of experience managing procurement• Degree in: Architecture, Technical Architecture or Building Engineering, or a similar technical background. • Proficiency in the fundamental concepts and practical applications of artificial intelligence. • Proficient use of Microsoft Office.• Availability to travel for periods of 1–2 weeks. • Analytical mindset and experience of working with data analysis tools. • Experience with SAP, Jaggaer, Power BI and other procurement tools is advantageous. • Previous experience in the cultural/interior design sector is also advantageous.
