Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Avaap is seeking a seasoned Workday Time Tracking & Absence Principal Consultant to join their AMS practice. The role involves serving as the functional lead for multiple clients, providing expertise in Workday Time Tracking and Absence, and ensuring clients receive scalable, sustainable solutions. Responsibilities• Serve as the functional lead across Workday Time Tracking and Absence, supporting multiple AMS clients with configuration, troubleshooting, enhancements, and issue resolution• Leverage expertise to articulate best practices, assess risks, and guide clients toward scalable, sustainable solutions• Partner with client stakeholders to understand requirements, propose options, and recommend the best path forward• Manage competing priorities and shifting client needs with confidence and professionalism• Stretch into adjacent functional areas as needed—within or outside TT/ABS—to support broader AMS team deliverables• Provide clear documentation, impact assessments, and knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams• Maintain a proactive, consultative approach, anticipating needs and identifying opportunities for improvementSkills• Workday Time Tracking and/or Absence certification, Workday Payroll certification (all strongly preferred)• Deep functional expertise in Absence, with the ability to operate independently across both modules• Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to explain complex scenarios, evaluate risks, and present solution options clearly• Proven ability to juggle multiple clients and priorities in an AMS or multi-project environment• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to stretch into new areas when needed• Strong problem-solving, autonomy, and ownership of deliverables• Demonstrated ability to document delivered solutions, and provide knowledge transfer to customers on acceptable solutions• Demonstrated ability to convey complex solutions of varying degrees to non-technical users• Demonstrated ability to build long term, productive customer relationships• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively• Must be able to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment• Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration• Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap's physical office locations• Current permanent U.S.work authorization required• Experience working within HE and Gov verticals a plus• Certified in Scheduling and Labor Optimization Services, strongly preferred, although not required• Preference for Workday HCM consulting, and/or industry experience• Previous consulting experience with SaaS systems is highly preferredBenefits• Open PTO• Competitive vision, dental, and medical, including fertility coverage• Paid parental leave• 401(k) match• Company-paid disability and life benefits• Employee Assistance Program, including behavioral health services• Tech and Fitness stipendsCompany Overview• Avaap is a premier technology and advisory consulting partner dedicated to accelerating organizational transformation.It was founded in 2006, and is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, US, with a workforce of 201-500 employees.
