[Remote] Payroll Processor (Weekly Payroll)

The Payroll Processor is responsible for executing accurate and timely weekly payroll, auditing timecards, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities• Run weekly payroll for hourly staff in accordance with company deadlines and policies• Audit electronic timecards for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with labor regulations• Identify, research, and resolve timesheet exceptions or discrepancies• Process retroactive payments, overtime, corrections, and payroll adjustments• Collaborate with leaders and supervisors to validate hours and resolve issues• Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with internal controls and regulatory requirements• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws• Partner with HR, Finance, and other internal teams on payroll-related inquiries or process improvementsSkills• 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably handling weekly payroll for an hourly workforce• Experience auditing timecards and reconciling payroll discrepancies• Working knowledge of payroll regulations, overtime rules, and wage & hour laws• Proficiency with payroll/timekeeping systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG/Kronos, or similar)• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines• Excellent communication and customer-service skills for working with employees and leaders• High degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information• Experience in a professional services or multi-location environment• Familiarity with processing retro payments and complex payroll adjustments• Intermediate skills in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP)• We appreciate talent from all over the United States and are willing to consider candidates who may not be located near a Crowe office location for this role/openingBenefits• Comprehensive total rewards packageCompany Overview• Crowe LLP is a public accounting, consulting, and technology firm.It was founded in 1942, and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, USA, with a workforce of 5001-10000 employees.
