Remote Medical Assistant (Full-Time / Part-Time)

We are seeking an organized, detail-orientedRemote Medical Assistant to support physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams in providing excellent patient care. This role is fully remote and involves administrative, clinical documentation, and patient-support responsibilities through phone, email, and electronic medical records (EMR). Duties Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by gathering medical history, medications, symptoms, and demographics Schedule and coordinate appointments, procedures, follow-ups, and referrals Update and maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR) accurately Handle phone calls, messages, and emails from patients Review lab results, imaging reports, and communicate provider instructions (as allowed) Perform prior authorizations for medications or procedures Assist providers during telehealth appointments (note-taking, documentation) Manage prescription refills and send requests to pharmacies Prepare and upload patient documents, forms, and reports Provide patient education and instructions as directed by providers Ensure HIPAA compliance at all times Coordinate with labs, imaging centers, insurance companies, and specialist officesThe ideal candidate is patient-focused, tech-savvy, and able to handle confidential information with professionalism.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Some employers prefer Medical Assistant certification) Experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or healthcare administrative assistant Strong understanding of medical terminology Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, Athena, Cerner, Kareo, etc.) Excellent communication and patient service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment Reliable high-speed internet and private workspace Strong organizational and documentation skills Must maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent Experience with telehealth or remote healthcare roles Bilingual (English + Spanish or other languages) Prior experience in specialty clinics (pediatrics, cardiology, primary care, OB/GYN, etc.) Benefits Health, dental, vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) 401(k) plan or retirement contributions Paid holidays Disability insuranceRemote work equipment allowanceProfessional development or certification reimbursement $26–$48 per hour Possible bonuses for performance or productivityRemoteAbout the Company:Exact Medicare Apply tot his job
