Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Subject is an educational technology startup aiming to enhance classroom experiences and provide quality education. They are looking for a Math Curriculum & Content Writer to create secondary-level math lessons and assessments for their video-focused platform. Responsibilities• Write original math lessons, assessments, practice sets, and teacher guides aligned to CCSS-M, state standards (e.g., TEKS), and the Standards for Mathematical Practice (SMP 1–8).• Emphasize conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and application; include worked examples, hints, scaffolds, and common-misconception callouts. • Author high-quality items (MC, TEI, constructed response) with rationales, exemplars, and rubrics; target a range of DOK and cognitive demand levels. • Script short-form videos (3–6 minutes) and collaborate with editors, IDs, and production to take content from draft → final; storyboard visuals, on-screen math notation, and pacing. • Ensure mathematical and notational accuracy across symbolic, graphical, numerical, and verbal representations; adhere to style guides and accessibility/UDL best practices.• Incorporate technology-forward tasks (e.g., Desmos/GeoGebra prompts) and opportunities for formative checks, interleaved practice, and spiral review. • Manage timelines, clearly communicate risks/dependencies, and iterate quickly based on editorial feedback, piloting, and QA. Skills• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (or related field) and recent 6–12 math teaching experience. • Strong command of middle and high school math (Ratios & Proportional Relationships, Expressions & Equations, Functions, Algebra 1/2, Geometry, Probability & Statistics, Precalculus topics).• Proven curriculum/content writing experience with a portfolio of lessons, assessments, or scripts. • Excellent organization, clear written communication, and deadline reliability. • Experience in instructional design/EdTech and comfort scripting for video. • Familiarity with Desmos, GeoGebra, LaTeX/MathJax, and authoring in Google Suite. • Experience with AI‑assisted workflows within a rigorous editorial/QA process.
