Latitude Legal is a flexible legal talent company seeking a California-licensed Trust & Estate Litigation Attorney to join an AmLaw 200 firm on a part-time engagement basis. The role involves litigating complex disputes related to trusts and estates, providing counsel to involved parties, and mentoring junior attorneys in a remote work environment. Responsibilities• Litigate trust and estate disputes, including will and trust contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, accounting issues, and related probate and civil matters.• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and briefs, and manage written discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation. • Participate in dispute resolution processes (e.g., mediation, settlement conferences) and help craft practical strategies that balance legal rights, family dynamics, and tax/estate planning considerations. • Provide thoughtful counsel to beneficiaries, trustees, fiduciaries, and family members involved in high-stakes wealth transfer and trust/estate conflicts. • Work closely with a senior partner and cross-office team, while overseeing and mentoring junior attorneys and helping manage a busy docket of matters.• Juggle multiple active cases at once, maintaining strong organization, communication, and follow-through. Skills• California-licensed Trust & Estate Litigation Attorney• 5+ years of civil litigation experience• Solid background in law and motion practice, written discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills• Comfortable working in a remote/WFH environment and availability during West Coast business hours• Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing• Prior trusts and estates / probate litigation experience strongly preferred• Experience (or interest) in mentoring junior associates and helping coordinate work across multiple matters• Genuine interest in building a long-term practice in trust and estate litigationBenefits• Qualified 401k plan• Complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance• CLE andProfessional Expense stipendCompany Overview• Latitude is a legal services company that provides employing, in-house counseling, and law attorneys.It was founded in 2014, and is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, with a workforce of 201-500 employees.
