Regisitered Nurse Intake Specialist- Remote

OverviewAs a Registered Nurse Intake Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare team by ensuring that veterans receive the highest level of service from the moment they enter our system. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting outbound calls to gather, clarify, and document medical information and expert opinions necessary for veterans' disability benefit claims. This position requires strong communication skills, clinical judgment. What you’ll do• Have a televisit with patients where you will collect and verify patient information, including medical history to ensure accurate records.• Utilize Electronic Health Record for documentation and data entry. • Conduct intake while adhering to HIPAA regulations. • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness to support efficient processes. • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy. • Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with health information management standards. Basic qualifications• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using phone systems.• Excellent typing and documentation skills with a focus on accuracyPreferred qualifications (but will train the right candidate)• Registered nurse with compact license. • Familiarity with VA disability benefits process and terminology. • Prior work in medical case management, utilization review, or a related field. • Experience working with veterans or veteran service organizations.
