Regional Sales Director – Golf, Turf & Landscape (Water Conservation Tech)Locations: Southern California OR Las Vegas / Northern MojaveType: Full-time, remote field roleAbout the RoleDesert Control is scaling a breakthrough soil and water conservation technology across the U.S. Southwest. We are seeking a high-performance Regional Sales Director who can own a territory, close complex technical sales, and build strong relationships with golf and landscape superintendents. You will lead direct sales in your region, supported by our agronomy, R&D, and operations teams.This is a role for a skilled consultative seller who thrives in a fast-moving scale-up environment and wants to help customers solve real challenges: water scarcity, rising irrigation costs, soil degradation, and labor constraints. This position combines strategic territory leadership with hands-on field sales. You’ll drive pipeline, deepen customer trust, and represent Desert Control as the go-to partner for sustainable turf and landscape management. What Success Looks LikeYou consistently hit or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targetsYou build a healthy pipeline and shorten sales cyclesCustomers view you as a trusted advisor, not just a vendorYou turn pilot projects into repeat business and long-term partnershipsYou help shape Desert Control’s expansion strategy in the SouthwestWhat You’ll DoOwn full-cycle sales from prospecting to close within your territoryBuild trusted relationships with superintendents, course managers, and industry partnersConduct ROI-driven presentations and field demosCollaborate with agronomy and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer successBecome the primary customer contact for project planning, applications, and post-installation follow-upMaintain accurate pipeline and CRM reporting (HubSpot)Represent Desert Control at industry events, associations, and regional networksDevelop annual territory plans, including forecasting and performance analysisEnsure customer satisfaction that drives referrals and long-term loyaltyQualificationsRequired5+ years of successful outside sales experience in golf, turf, landscape irrigation, or soil productsStrong existing network with regional superintendents and industry partnersProven track record of closing large, consultative projectsAbility to translate technical/agronomic value into clear financial ROIStrong communication and presentation skillsComfortable working autonomously in a field-focused, remote environmentValid driver’s license and ability to travel 50–70% within your territoryPreferredBachelor’s degree in agronomy, turf management, business, or related fieldExperience selling sustainability or water conservation technologiesFamiliarity with irrigation systems, turf agronomy, or soil scienceCRM fluency (HubSpot preferred)Compensation & BenefitsBase salary: $110,000–$150,000 (DOE + proven performance)OTE: Highly competitive commission-plan with acceleratorsBenefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), mileage reimbursement or company vehicle, phone allowanceFinal compensation depends on territory, network strength, and experience.About Desert ControlDesert Control is a climate-tech scale-up focused on combating desertification, soil degradation, and water scarcity.
