We are looking for a diligent and detailed Payroll and Billing Specialist to. We are looking for a self-starter and critical thinker. We are looking for someone who can recognize the various needs and present solutions. Most importantly, we are looking for a teammate. This role will responsible for our large Capital project billings and our payroll processing functions for 100+ employees. Benefits:• Competitive wages based on experience• 80 PTO Hours• 8 Paid Holidays• 401(k) with employer matching program• Health insurance for the employee covered 100%, with option to add family, including dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:• 3+ years’ experience with in-house payroll processing, preferably with a construction contractor. • Certified PayrollProfessional designation desired. • Demonstrated ability to apply wage and hour rules to various employee types, including office, Journeymen and apprentices on private and public job sites. • Knowledge of Oregon and federal payroll regulations and taxes. • Experience with a paperless timesheet approval system. • Proficiency in bolthires Office, especially Excel and Outlook.• Strong team player able to work with diverse teams in different locations. • Internal and external customer service minded with strong communication skills. • Experience with construction accounting software, such as SAGE 300, a plus. • Demonstrates high levels of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism. • Strong organization and communication skills with excellent attention to detail and dedication to accuracy. • Must be able to work quickly and independently. • Must be willing to learn the company’s procedures in billing and be able to follow the procedures.JobDuties:Under supervision of the Controller this position will be responsible to:• Process weekly time entry and payroll for 100+ employees, according to company policy. • Determine weekly payroll liabilities for federal and state taxes, employee deductions and garnishments. • Obtaining, reviewing for compliance, and submitting subcontractor certified payroll reports and documentation. • Assist HR with employee set up in ERP. • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports. • Payroll earnings and deduction code maintenance and set up.• Reconciliation of taxable earnings and preparation of federal and state payroll tax reports. • Form W2 year-end reporting and reconciliation. • Prepare and Submit all Work in Progress billing information to our General Contractor customers• Research project payment and invoice questions• Drive continuous process improvements. • Prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are satisfied. • Work with employees to resolve problems or provide assistance as needed.
