Part-Time, Pediatric School Nurse (Registered Nurse / RN) | Limon, CO

We are looking for a School Nurse in the Limon, Colorado area for the current school year to work with a Special Education student. Position Details • Current School Year: ASAP Start • Part-time: less than 10 hours per month • Caseload: document and screening • Pay Range: $30 - $45 per hour, depending on previous experience and level About You: • Must have active RN Colorado License or a Compact License • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing • Will be required to get fingerprinting done during credentialing process • Must be committed to attending school every day with student • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required GeneralResponsibilities: • Provide dedicated nursing care to one student, including monitoring health status, administering medications, and performing medical procedures as prescribed.• Develop and maintain a healthcare plan in collaboration with the school health team, the student’s family, and healthcare providers. • Respond to and manage acute medical situations related to the student’s condition. • Educate the student, peers, and school staff about the student’s medical needs and safety precautions. • Ensure that all medical interventions and care are documented in accordance with school policies and state regulations. • Serve as a liaison between the student’s family, school personnel, and healthcare providers to coordinate care and communicate the student’s health status.• Participate in school meetings related to the student’s health and educational plans. • Maintain student privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant laws.
