PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Report, write, shoot, and edit engaging, informative, and compelling news content. - Develop and implement enterprise stories regularly. - Regularly supply news content to the station's social media and digital platforms - Maintain an unequivocal dedication to accuracy, fairness, and ethics. - Ensure meeting all daily production deadlines. - Other duties, as assigned.CORE PROFICIENCIES: Dynamic storyteller and interviewer. A leader who works well with a team can successfully implement the station's mission and strategy. Expert and upbeat communicator on-air, online, and social media platforms. Prior experience with non-linear shooting and editing. Knowledge of the use of social media is a requirement. Works well under deadline pressure. Ability to work a variable schedule as needed. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:- Three years of experience as an MMJ.- Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or a similar field preferred. - Proven experience shooting and editing with small or mid-sized professional video cameras used in MMJ reporting. - Must be willing to join SAG/AFTRA UnionQUALIFICATIONS- Dynamic storyteller and interviewer- A leader who works well with a team and can efficiently implement the station's mission and strategy- Expert and upbeat communicator on-air, online and social media platforms- Prior experience with non-linear shooting and editing- Knowledge of use of social media is a requirement- Works well under deadline pressureRESPONSIBILITIES- Report, write, shoot, and edit engaging insightful and compelling news content- Develop and execute enterprise stories on a regular basis- Regularly contribute news content to the station's social media and digital platforms- Maintain an unequivocal commitment to accuracy, fairness, and ethics- Ensure to meet all daily production deadlines- Other duties, as assignedOrganizations that wish to receive job vacancy notices from this posting's television station should contact [email protected] INFORMATIONHiringSalary Range: $80,000.00 - 85,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
