MKS Inc. is seeking a Principal Product Sales Engineer to enhance customer experience while promoting their brand and product offerings. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing customer relationships, and supporting sales efforts to drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Product Line Managers, Core Account Managers, and Territory Sales Managers by participating in prospecting and account-penetration activities to grow the business
- Collaborating with customers to understand their requirements through consultative selling and delivering value-based solutions
- Working with Territory Sales Manager and Core Account Managers to manage and maintain the orders pipeline and opportunities in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Traveling to customer sites to support Core Account Managers and Territory Sales Managers in winning new business, supporting newly won programs, and sustaining existing business
- Identifying, collecting, and sharing sales best practices, customer requirements, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Solving day‑to‑day customer and application issues by interfacing with functional areas across multiple levels of the company
- Building strong relationships with customers at multiple levels and with internal functional groups
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Photonics-related field (Physics, Engineering, Applied Science)
- 5+ years of demonstrated success in a customer-facing role
- Strong critical-thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time-management skills, and communication abilities
- Effective negotiating skills
- Experience with Photonics Industry desirable
