JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network dedicated to improving access to STEM education for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. They are offering an unpaid internship opportunity for individuals interested in contributing to projects that support their mission, involving a commitment of 20 hours per week for at least one month.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members on department-specific projects
- Attend scheduled work sessions and maintain regular communication with your assigned manager
- Submit brief written updates on your work daily
- Participate in JerseySTEM's communication systems (Slack, G-Suite, etc.)
- Maintain a professional demeanor in all internal and external interactions
- Notify department head or HR if you encounter any issues connecting with your manager
Skills
- College or Master's degree in a relevant field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with digital collaboration tools (Slack, G-Suite, Salesforce, Jira)
- Passion for making a positive impact on students' lives
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 20 hours/week
- Candidates located in New Jersey, as our programs primarily serve local communities
