Search Solution Group is seeking a District Sales Manager on behalf of our client, a leading provider of pre-engineered steel building solutions. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and developing strong customer relationships within an assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve territory revenue and profitability goals
- Promote, sell, and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-driven sales approach
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with current customers and prospects to generate new business opportunities
- Conduct telephone outreach, virtual meetings, and in-person customer visits and presentations
- Demonstrate products and services and recommend solutions that best fit customer requirements
- Research and identify prospective customers and market opportunities within the assigned territory
- Prepare clear, accurate, and professional proposals, quotations, and sales presentations
- Resolve customer concerns and coordinate solutions with internal teams
- Collaborate with marketing, accounting, logistics, technical services, and sales leadership to support customer needs
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer opportunities to maximize territory performance
- Develop and manage customer value plans that identify growth opportunities and strengthen account relationships
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, products, applications, and competitive offerings
- Participate in trade shows, conventions, and industry events to build brand awareness and generate leads
- Provide regular reports and updates regarding sales activities, customer feedback, and market conditions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within the pre-engineered metal building industry
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience within the metal building industry
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share
- Experience managing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze market opportunities and customer needs
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Knowledge of pre-engineered metal building systems, applications, and industry practices
- Understanding of sales processes, territory management, and customer account development
- Familiarity with market trends, competitive landscapes, and construction industry dynamics
- Knowledge of proposal development and contract negotiation practices
- Bachelor's degree preferred
