Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ROSS Controls is a global industrial manufacturer specializing in fluid power safety and automation solutions. They are seeking a Channel Sales Manager to strengthen and grow their North American distributor network, focusing on building relationships and driving revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and grow the distributor network throughout North America
- Serve as the primary liaison between Ross Controls and independent distribution partners
- Build strong relationships with distributor principals, sales leaders, and channel personnel
- Conduct regular business reviews focused on sales performance, growth opportunities, and strategic initiatives
- Monitor distributor performance and implement plans to improve results and address underperformance
- Identify, evaluate, recruit, and onboard new channel partners where strategic coverage is needed
- Deliver product, sales, and application training programs to distributor teams
- Support distributors with territory planning, account development, and growth strategies
- Manage channel activities and opportunities within the CRM system
- Analyze channel performance, sales data, and market trends to identify opportunities and risks
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, and Product Management teams to improve channel effectiveness
- Support product launches, channel marketing initiatives, trade shows, and industry events
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of experience managing distributor networks, channel sales programs, or partner relationships
- Proven success developing and executing channel growth strategies
- Experience conducting distributor business reviews and performance management conversations
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
- Experience with CRM systems, sales pipeline management, and reporting
- Ability to travel throughout North America and maintain a valid passport for travel to Canada
- Highly organized and self-directed with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, automation, fluid power, pneumatics, hydraulics, motion control, or related technical industries
- Experience creating distributor incentive programs and channel development initiatives
- Experience delivering sales or product training to distributors and channel partners
- National distributor network management experience
