About the position Responsibilities • Contribute to high-impact projects within the Network Security team. • Enhance skills in operating systems such as Linux and Windows. • Work with programming languages and frameworks including Python, Java, Javascript/Typescript, React, NodeJs, and NextJs. • Assist in system administration and network management tasks, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. • Support database administration and management using Oracle SQL, MySQL, and MS SQL. • Engage in information assurance and intrusion prevention activities. • Participate in cloud security infrastructure and policy assessments. • Help with data administration and security, including data classification and loss prevention. • Assist in identity and access management tasks, including multi-factor authentication and directory services. • Support incident response and management processes, including triage and root cause analysis. • Contribute to external and internal network security initiatives. Requirements • Currently enrolled in a qualifying bachelor's degree program at Northeastern University. • Good academic standing. Nice-to-haves • Familiarity with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and robotic process automation. • Experience with Ansible for software automation. • Knowledge of cloud security standards and vendor assessments.
