About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our team on a remote basis. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for assessing patients and performing routine computed tomography procedures in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and protocols. You will also serve as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students, sharing your expertise and experience to help them grow professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Verifies physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Utilizes radiology information systems to facilitate patient care and streamline workflows.
- Explains procedures to patients to ensure they understand what to expect.
- Independently operates CT equipment to complete imaging procedures according to established protocols.
- Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards.
- Completes timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and performs notification/remediation as needed.
- Assists in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
- Adapts behavior to meet the needs of diverse patient populations, including those with unique cultural, linguistic, or ability needs.
- Performs other related duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
- Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or computed tomography ARRT (CT) certification, or ARRT registry eligibility with registration within 90 days of employment.
- Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- CT registry eligibility within one year, with advanced certification in CT within one year of becoming CT registry eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:
- CT experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of CT procedures and technical language.
- Advanced certification in CT by a mechanism acceptable to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
