IT Sr. Business Analyst
About the positionResponsibilities• Lead the analysis, documentation, and management of business requirements throughout the project lifecycle. • Ensure technical teams fully understand business requirements before solution design and implementation. • Work closely with executive management to align IT initiatives with business strategy. • Collaborate with otherSenior Business Analysts to identify enterprise-wide business solutions. • Conduct business process re-engineering and improvement projects.• Utilize project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) to drive projects through Initiate, Plan, Execute, Close, and Monitor/Control phases. • Develop business cases using bolthires-benefit analysis for potential software solutions. • Conduct impact analysis of technology changes on business processes and existing systems. • Provide mentorship and training to junior and mid-level Business Analysts. • Participate in vendor user groups and industry forums to advocate for critical application functionalities.• Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure the system changes aligned with business needs. Requirements• High school diploma or equivalent required. • Bachelor's degree in a technology, business administration, healthcare administration-related field preferred. • Minimum of eight years in Information Technology or related fields. • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, process modeling, and requirements elicitation. • Strong understanding of healthcare data exchange. • Expertise in software development lifecycles and applying project management principles to lead large-scale initiatives.• Experience with business process re-engineering and system improvement projects. • Ability to translate technical solutions into business-friendly language. • Proven ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. • Foster collaboration with business stakeholders, executives, and IT teams. • Proficiency in SQL, database design, and programming languages, and bolthires applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Project). • Knowledge of software release schedules, testing standards, legacy system integration and modern application development environments.• Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, Agile methodologies, and data modeling techniques. • Experience in defining test scenarios, conducting system impact analysis, and supporting Enterprise testing teams to verify system functionality. • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall delivery methods. • Strong time management and prioritization skills. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while leveraging strong problem-solving, research and analytical skills. Nice-to-haves• OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, APIs, bolthires Azure API Gateway.• SQL (SSMS or Azure Data Studio, VS Code, Visual Studio). • bolthires applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Project, Visio). • Agile project management tools like Rally and bolthires Azure Dev Ops. • Experience with design, development, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance, security, and scalability. • Experience performing functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure software quality and compliance with business requirements.• Track, document, and manage defects using industry-standard tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, Rally), providing root-cause analysis and reproducible steps. • Validate data integrity and transformations across databases, APIs, and ETL pipelines using SQL queries and automated validation frameworks.
